HELLOWEEN

Helloween was scheduled as headliner on sunday evening, and believe me... These guys know how to headline a show.

We personnally know the remaining original members already over 25 years, so it was not really a big deal to get a promise for a full show photo pass from the management, with a little help from upper-master Kai Hanssen from Gamma Ray. Again our thanx in that direction!

One of the reasons why we wanted to have access to the front area for the full show is of course the fact that Kai Hanssen would come up for the “encores”, to join his old bandmates, just like the rest of Gamma Ray would do for the last one or two songs.  Helloween just delivered one of their best albums in years, called STRAIGHT OUT OF HELL, so it was no surprise that they would bring quite a few songs from that new album. Frontman Andi Deris, might not have the voice of Michael Kiske (who cares?), but is without any doubt a great singer and frontman, which you will surely be able to see at the pictures below. Before the concert, somewhere between tourbus and hotdog bar we had an interesting long chat with both Michael Weikath and Markus Grosskopf, about the rockscene 25 years ago, from time to time joined by Kai. And it was especially nice to hear that they remembered that I was the first ever to put Helloween on the (colour) cover of a magazine in the early-mid eighties... even Kai showed more than “just” interest in the ‘good old days’. A picture taken with that old magazine brought up some good old memories. But meanwhile, we are living in 2013 so enjoy HELLOWEEN -straight out of Hell- in around 100 high quality shots. Believe us, you will have to search deep into the world wide web... to find better ones than these!

The coming weeks and months some of these pictures will be published in Rock Magazines in Canada, America, Poland and Belgium. HAIL!
