Max Pie is a Belgian band which was formed in 2005. They released one album so far, called Initial Process, which was quite successful in Belgium and abroad. During the last year I saw them probably 6 times live and unfortunately I was not really impressed. Until new guitarist Damien walked in and brought new  “flavour” to the old recipe. First time they really catched my attention was at Moonlight Festival, which made us decide to see them one day later opening for Vision Divine in Holland. And -even to my own surprise- this gig blew me away. This was the best Max Pie I ever saw, this was probably one of the finest Belgian bands ever to be witnessed. One reason more to look out for the PPM Fest in April, when they will be joining bands like Avantasia, Helloween, Queensrychen, Behemoth and many more on stage. I really look forward towards their second album, and hope (pray?) secretly that they will ask Rick Beato to do the job. It could be a killing combination!!! Tony?
